Yay for sleep!
Colin has recently dropped one of his feedings at night, which means that we've had some uninterrupted nights! Four of the past four nights, he's gone 6+ hrs without needing to eat. The first night he went from around 8 pm to 4 am, which we thought was a fluke. Then the next night he went from 9 pm to 5 am, and the last two nights he's slept from around 10 pm to 5-6 am. It's amazing!
Of course, after the short nights of getting up every 3-5 hrs, I actually feel like i might be getting a little too much sleep these days. 10 pm isn't feeling so early, so it is harder to go to bed, which of course doesn't help the sleeping situation. But you don't hear me complaining! The extra sleep is wonderful. Colin seems to be enjoying it as well. He's not sleeping as well during the day, but is still taking some short naps. He has also increased his feeding amounts. As I still do a mixture of pumping and feeding, we know how much he eats when he takes breastmilk from a bottle, and last night before he went down for the long sleep he ate almost 6 oz.!
We did have a good weekend. My mother-in-law had carpel tunnel surgery, so she is taking some time off of work, and in the mean time is having lots of visitors. So the first set of visitors was here this weekend - her sister Linda and two of Linda's grandbabies. We went over there on Friday for dinner and had a good time. Colin also had a great time and his Papa (Steve) got him to belly laugh for a few minutes while playing patty-cake. Such a great sound :)
I think that the next visitor is Judy's sister Marlene, then we have a visitor coming in late Thursday night (one of my best friends, April), then in two weeks my parents are in town. Should be fun!
Wowsers...you guys won't get a break from hosting! I really can't wait to see you all. Love this new pic! It cracks me up.
