It doesn't take long

Our little guy went from barely crawling early last week, to becoming an expert crawler by this week. He has figured out that crawling is the best mode of transportation and the fastest. He can cross whole rooms in a few seconds and does not take his time if there is something he spies. We've somewhat quarantined things that he can get into trouble with, including the dog's bowls, games and computers, and some sharp corners, but you still have to watch him pretty carefully so he doesn't hurt himself.
Monster-head!
Now that the world is his to explore, he doesn't sit still very well. He always wants to be on the move. The only time he is content is when there are lots of things to look at. For example, we went to the Minnesota Renaissance Festival last weekend (see full pics here), and he was fairly content to either ride in his stroller or be held by various family members and watch the festivities.
Wendy, Papa, and Colin at the fair!

Me and Nana had a good time :)
Last weekend we also traveled down to Rochester, MN for Bob's cousin's bridal shower. It was a nice low key affair, and Colin was wowing all the women with his crawling abilities and his love of cheerios. I'm just glad that the dinner was held on a carpeted floor (hosted by a neighbor in their basement) so that he could get down and crawl without too much difficulty.

He is still working on more teeth. Some days i think he might have 4 or 6 teeth coming in at once from the slight swelling of his gums, but i guess only time will tell! He is loving the few bits of solid food we've allowed. He likes feeding himself, though the textures are a bit too much sometimes.

Alright, I should end this blog post. Here are a few pictures from recent days to enjoy.
Almost naked time!

Some days he looks too much like his daddy!

  1. Finally someone to be my wingman all those games! He'll have to put on his monster hat and his mean face to intimidate the competition.
