Big news in our family is our upcoming cruise! For spring break this year, the Kuczenski's (immediate family and spouses/kids) decided to take a southern Caribbean cruise. I'm starting to get a little overly excited. We have a lot to do before we head out, not the least of which is preparing to keep a toddler entertained on a 5 hr flight. So far we are planning on lots of $1 toys, and snacks he's never seen or tasted; we are even hoping for several minutes of screen time, with some movies on the ipad, though i'm not very hopeful they will keep his attention. Friends have made some good suggestions as well, such as a roll of scotch tape - thanks Faith! Nana and Papa (Judy and Steve) are sitting right next to us, so hopefully 4 laps will be enough!

We've also been 'preparing' for the cruise by getting Colin used to water. We've been in swim lessons for the past 7 weeks, once a week on Saturday. We just had our last lesson this past week. He does pretty well in the water - at least no crying, but hasn't quite figured out that he is supposed to move his limbs in the water. Doesn't really kick or move his arms (except for to capture a toy), and definitely doesn't blow bubbles. I think there is just too much to watch in the pool area; but overall, i think he had fun.

Our little guy is certainly on the move these days. It is hard to get him to sit still for much except food, and even then he would walk and eat if we let him. It is fun to see him interacting with his cousins more though. Lucas and Sophie like to keep him entertained (ok, more Sophie) and they both like to chase him, which he loves. It is neat to see how our little baby is becoming such a kid. Speaking of food, he definitely likes certain foods and will stuff his mouth full to bursting when he likes something. For example, peanut butter toast. He will cram many pieces of peanut butter toast into his mouth, then try to drink some milk to help it 'squish' down since the poor boy barely has any teeth to chew with. See the picture for evidence. Unfortunately, when your mouth is so full it can't close, it can't really pucker enough to suck through a straw.

Not too much else new to report. I wanted to post a few of the pictures from our trip to Como Zoo, so i'll leave you with those!
