First of all, I know you all are dying to see our temporary digs (ok, so it is mostly David). Here are some pics from around our place; 2 bedroom, 2 bath, washer/dryer in unit and a fair amount of storage (which we have nothing to fill it with).

To being our Labor Day weekend, we met up with one of Bob's colleagues and family. They have a son a month younger than Colin (though he was premature, so it is more like 3 months difference). We visited the Children's Discovery Museum in San Jose, and the boys had a lot of fun! They have portions of the museum separated for the under 4 years old crowd, and that was a nice feature! Colin especially liked any of the 'ball' experiments - throwing them down a hole, putting them in an air chute to fall back down, etc. He also really liked a sound exhibit where you could push on different statues and the sound they make would come through the loud speaker in the room. Of course, we held the boys up well past their naptimes and by the time we got to the water room, we had little baby zombies on our hands - but they still did remarkably well.

The next morning, we went to visit Aunt Jenni and Uncle Bill in SF. We met up with them prior to the Kuczenski google hangout, then had brunch, and played at a park just downhill from their place. The park was really awesome and Colin had a great time with the slides and sand.

Finally, we went on a family hike on Labor Day. We put Colin in the hiking backpack and went to Castle Rock state park. It was a really nice day, definitely warm in the sun, but shady most of the hike. Spectacular views over the mountains and to Monterrey bay could be seen for the vast majority of the hike.
Of course, when we got back we still needed to get Colin some exercise (who knew sitting in a backpack all day didn't burn off much energy?!). So Bob took Colin to the pool! It was a nice warm day in San Mateo (hit 80 degrees!) so it wasn't too cold for the pool. Colin had a great time :)

Unfortunately, the little buddy had kind of a rough night, and woke up sick. Perhaps just a cold, but he threw up a little and is running a fever, so hopefully he gets better soon!
Other Colin happenings is that he turned 19 months old! He also finally broke his upper left and lower right eye teeth through the gums, just one more eye tooth to go and we'll have a full set! That will be a nice change :)
