Its a ...

Boy! :) We decided after all to find out the gender. It was a tough decision, and one that ultimately relied on curiosity, but i think i'll rest a little easier knowing that we have had the correct pronoun in use for him :).

Overall, ultrasound went really well. Saw all the fingers and toes, heart and other organs look good, and he was giving the ultrasound tech a hard time by squirming incessantly. I was amazed at how clear the picture was, mostly because i've always heard how grainy the images are (and the pictures kinda are grainy), but during the actual exam you really could see a lot! It was strange to see him squirm on the image while i felt him move simultaneously. Ultrasound tech put him at ~1.1 lbs which is where you would expect, and his heart beat was normal at 150.

So here are some highlights from the visit.

As a final note, knowing the gender still doesn't mean that we want a whole lot of blue baby things - main color is still green and we'd prefer to keep most items gender neutral for any future siblings!
