Boring updates are the best kind right? Nothing much to report from the midwife's checkup this morning. Baby is still head down, not expected to change, and has moved slightly lower, from highest station at -5 to around a -3, so slight drop. I also effaced a little further to around 70-80%, and have gained 26 lbs total during this pregnancy. Baby is still doing well, heartbeat was 136 (anywhere from 120-160 is normal for full term) and was attempting to dodge both the midwife and the heartbeat monitor (he succeeded at least once).
So basically, no changes that indicate labor is coming any faster, but could still happen at any time. Of course that is driving me crazy because i'm such a planner, but i guess it doesn't really matter when he decides to make his appearance since we should be as ready as we will be regardless of when it occurs. I'm still voting for the 1st quarter of the superbowl - though Bob says that he'll want to be born prior to the superbowl so he can watch!
